The Solutions Institute is proud to announce the release of a new service within Edison Services, a Self and Team Evaluation Tool. This new service provides instructors with the ability to conduct self and team evaluations without the hassle of collecting and manually scoring each of the submitted evaluations. Through this automated system, instructors can easily setup self and team evaluations for multiple projects within multiple courses. In addition, the application provides instructors with the ability to create and assign students to project teams and have each of the team members evaluate each other and themselves, online, based on a pre-designed evaluation. This will eliminate the need to spend large amounts of time collecting and scoring evaluations. The application has been developed to provide two main access points: one for students and one for instructors. The students will be able to access their evaluations by going to the URL and logging in with their PSU Access ID and password. Once logged in, they will be able to submit all of their evaluations for each of their course sections and course projects. The application is accessible to instructors by logging into Edison Services with their PSU Access ID and password. For each section that the instructor has built, the instructor can select Add Service next to Self and Team Evaluation. Then, the instructor will select Launch to open the application. The instructor can then enable a self and team evaluation for a given project. If you have used Syllabus Builder within Edison Services to build your syllabus, then the Self and Team Evaluation Tool link will appear in the left hand navigation area of your syllabus under the tab "Edison Services." |

Once an instructor has built a course section from within Edison Services they have the ability to activate the self and team evaluations by selecting Launch from within a given course section. The instructor can then setup a number of course projects for their course section, add a listing of students to the course using the student Access IDs separated by commas, and create and associate students to teams. After setting up the projects and assigning students to teams, it is time to conduct the evaluations. |

| Viewing Submitted Self and Team Evaluations |
|
Once the students have submitted their evaluations, instructors will be able to view summary and detailed information about submitted evaluations. In addition, each instructor will have the ability to manually submit or change an evaluation for a given team or a given student. |
